Aidan Broderick, artist

After attending Curtin University and completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (painting and sculpture), Broderick co-founded the artist collective, Poolside, under which he participated in a number of group shows. Poolside: In Happiness (2004) at the Breadbox Gallery, highlighted themes and re-affirmed the artist’s interest in new media, diversity of materials and spatial relationships. Aidan has gone onto undertake a number of solo exhibitions, including a residency at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art’s studio program. He has also curated a number of shows, most notably New Disorder in 2007 as a part of the Artrage Festival. Aidan's work has been published in journals such as RealTime, The Australian and Artlink.
