Annabel Dixon, artist

Annabel was born in Dampier , WA in 1981. She completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts (1st Class Hons) at Curtin University of Technology, Perth in 2003. Annabel held her first solo exhibition Opportunities at Mori Gallery, Sydney in late 2003 and more recently at Fremantle Arts Centre (2008). She has also participated in a number of group exhibitions, including Office6000, Next Building, Perth (2006); The Post-It Note Project, Keith & Lottie Gallery, Perth (2005); For nothing, The Bank Gallery, Perth (2004); Flux, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, Perth (2003); Outside Tokyo, John Curtin Gallery, Perth (2003); Hotel 6151, Rhodes Hotel, Perth (2002); Mnemotech, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, (2002); and More than Ping Pong, Arts House, Perth (2000). Annabel’s work is held in the collections of the Janet Holmes a Court Gallery, Curtin University of Technology and private collections in Western Australia. She also completed a commission for Woodside Petroleum as part of the AWESOME Festival in 2002.
